"The desire for change is palpable, evident not only from Turner's weak job performance ratings, but also from voters' plainly stated desires to see a Democrat elected to Congress," said Lake. "In a generic trial heat the Democratic candidate leads the Republican candidate in this district by 4 percentage points, 43 percent to 39 percent."Of course, their internal poll has a margin of error that weighs in at a whopping 4.9 points...and they are touting the generic poll. What happens when names get attached to those choices, Jane? I'd love to see the demographics on that Stupid Poll to see how badly oversampled liberals are...
And this bit is hilarious:
Meanwhile, the release touted Mitakides' fundraising of $321,264 raised this year to date and $130,000 cash-on-hand. The release points out that 70 percent of funds raised came from within the district.Jane, a simple check of your filings show that 45% of what you have received came from...YOU! Some groundswell, eh? Throw in another $10,000+ from folks with the last name of...Mitakides...and I have to admit, I'm impressed with the groundswell of support! I am also amazed by the collection of attorneys who are the bigger contributors to her campaign and don't appear to be from the district at all...
"We're seeing a real groundswell of support," Mitakides said. "Voters are discovering the great opportunity we have to turn Ohio's Third District blue."
