(CANTON) - Today the Schuring for Congress Campaign filed a financial report that showed strong support from within the 16th Congressional District just one day after a Tarrance Group poll showed Schuring leading Youngstown Democrat John Boccieri by a 6-point margin 40% to 34%.
Today's filing showed that the Schuring Campaign has raised over $800,000 to date and has nearly $350,000 cash on hand.
Senator Schuring: "I'm deeply gratified for the support I've received thus far. The overwhelming majority of the money our campaign has received is from right here in the 16th District."
"Washington is broken and our message of real solutions is resonating with the voters of this district," Sen. Schuring said. "If there's one thing that we've heard loud and clear from the people of the 16th district, it's that they want a Congressman who has lived here, worked here, has the pulse of the people here and will be a strong voice for them at the US Capital."
