RELEASE: Dailey Has Best Fundraising Quarter of the Campaign

This just in...
(Mt. Vernon, OH) – Republican candidate for Congress in Ohio's 18th District Fred Dailey filed his 2nd quarter fundraising totals and more than doubled the amount of money his campaign had raised in any previous reporting period. Dailey's $112,000 cash on hand consists primarily of local contributors from across Eastern Ohio.

"I am humbled by the outpouring of support from a wide array of individuals that live in this district," Dailey said. "This continues to prove that people here at home are hungry for change in Washington. I'm honored that they see me as the person up to the task."

Incumbent Zack Space shows that most of his money continues to come from Washington lobbyists and out-of-state special interest groups. Space's acceptance of lobbyist contributions breaks a previous promise he made to voters of the 18th district not to accept those types of donations.

"It's no wonder that so many people are upset with Washington as Zack Space and other politicians leave their districts and break their promises," Dailey stated. "This continues to prove that Space is saying one thing at home and doing the opposite in Washington."

"Residents of the 18th district are reminded each time they pull up to the gas pump that Zack Space and others in Washington are doing nothing to solve our energy crisis." Dailey pledged "to continue to spread the word that there is a real difference between us on energy independence, immigration, taxation, abortion and many other issues facing Eastern Ohioans."
Team Dailey still has a long way to go...but progress is progress.
