RELEASE: Gimmicks Don’t Solve the Energy Problem

This just in...
(CANTON) – Yesterday during a gas station gimmick Senator John Boccieri (D-New Middleton) revealed that he has no solution for the current gas price crunch our nation is facing. In fact, when asked if he would use our nation’s natural resources to start getting the price of gas down he balked saying it would take too long. Here’s what the Canton Repository had to say about Boccieri’s gimmicky press grab yesterday:

“Boccieri countered that drilling won't solve current gasoline problems. He suggests the government should focus on developing alternative fuels to lessen dependence on foreign oil.” [1]

Instead of playing politics with this issue, Senator Schuring believes it’s critical that we develop proven energy resources now so that there will be an immediate impact on the prices we see at the pump. He also believes we should aggressively reduce the demand on foreign oil by pursuing the new technologies of the future.
