UPDATE: The official release from the campaign:
(CANTON) - Today Anthony Conchel joined Kirk Schuring For Congress as Communications Director.

Schuring, R-Canton, is seeking the 16th Congressional District seat in the Nov. 4 general election.

Conchel most recently was general manager/editor of the Telegraph-Forum in Bucyrus and has 28 years in the newspaper industry.

"Having someone with Anthony's expertise join our team enhances our ability to get Kirk's message out to the folks of the 16th district," said P.J. Wenzel, Campaign Manager.

Conchel, who has edited daily newspapers in Mansfield, Marion, Urbana and Washington Court House, is looking forward to the new opportunity. He also was deputy communications director for the Ohio Republican Party in 2000.

"I'm delighted to join the Schuring team. Sen. Schuring knows that Washington is broken and that we need real solutions to the important issues facing the voters of this district every day," he said. "Kirk is a problem solver who has lived in this district his entire life, and I honored to be a part of his team."
