WMD Blast

Here's what's happening today...

  • A very nice article from CQ Politics on Rep. Eric Cantor in which Republican Leader, my Congressman and a Great American -- John Boehner -- plays more than just a bit part... Cantor is one of the young guns on the rise and his working with Boehner is good for both of them.

  • Be sure to check out the update to the Vic Wulsin malriotherapy piece...I added a link to NixGuy who has an important follow-up...

  • Over at intrepid reporter Josh's place, there is a fascinating bit on Mike DeWine talking about John Sidney McCain's "conservative problem." Fascinating, I say, because if anybody knows about having a "conservative problem", it is Mike DeWine...

  • The Dean at the Cincinnati Beacon also has a malariotherapy update/follow-up that is a pretty good read today. Reader's Digest version: Wulsin could have prevented this whole line of attack if she had really done what she should have back in the day. And Wulsin could still benefit from doing the right thing today. Her continued silence on the real issues -- which are not the "attacks", by the way -- condemn her far more than the "attacks" do...

  • And over at Politics Extra, the so-called political blog of the Cincinnati Enquirer, we see that the commenters have spent more pixels on this story than the Enquirer has...most of their coverage is pointing to Sloat's hyperventilating...

  • Question: Will State Rep. Bill Coley get "equal time" to smear his opponent? It is the Dayton Daily Democrat, so I'm not holding my breath...love that "objective" media...

  • Rebelling against the leadership is not the answer... If you want to see change in the Republican conference, you need to not address your concerns with the leadership, but with the RINOs that get elected. Caveat emptor though...a significant number of those RINOs are elected in districts where Democrats could easily take those seats. This is too complicated a subject for a simple boycott... Side Note: I think California conservatives ought to be focused on California before they go messing around with ultimatums to the United States Congress...
