Tensions in Georgia have erupted as a conflict between Russia and Georgia has expanded from heated rhetoric to exchanging hot lead.
Al-Reuters has some pretty good coverage so far...they are describing the situation as "close to spiraling into full-blown war."
TimesOnline reports Russian tanks and soldiers have been sent in and Georgia takes the position that "that means war."
UPDATE: Hugh Hewitt, of all people, note this important factoid: "The fighting presented the most dangerous crisis in years in the Caucasus region, a
key conduit for the flow of oil from the Caspian sea to world markets."
