This is the same Charlie Rangel who defamed our brave troops who volunteered to fight for their country fully knowing the dangers, saying that "If a young fella has an option of having a decent career or joining the army to fight in Iraq, you can bet your life that he would not be in Iraq." This is the Charlie Rangel who never met a gun-control bill he didn't like, or a tax hike he wouldn't support. And he's the same Charlie Rangel who has contributed the maximum to John Boccieri's congressional campaign and is now going to pump far-left liberals from round the country to even further bankroll Boccieri's campaign.
John Boccieri has a pattern of associating himself with corrupt politicians and looking the other way. When the State Senate voted to authorize the Inspector General to investigate Marc Dann's office, Boccieri was the only State Senator to not vote to authorize the Inspector General to investigate. He initially called the scandal a "personal matter" and didn't call for Dann's resignation.
Why does Boccieri seem to always turn a blind eye to corruption when he stands to benefit from it? Why does he leap to the defense of Rep. John Murtha and say "When you attack one veteran you attack us all" in 2005, but he has no problems with Rangel demeaning our service members? Instead of taking the money, Boccieri should denounce Rangel's corrupt activities and refuse to take money from the fundraiser.
Leave it to Youngstown John to receive support from the Culture of Corruption. What can I say? He can't help himself...it is in his genes.
