RELEASE: Dailey Announces Energy Tour

This just in...
Traveling the 18th District to Offer Meaningful Energy Reforms

(Mt. Vernon) - Fred Dailey, candidate for Congress in Ohio's 18th District announced that he will take his message of energy independence directly to the voters next week.

During the five-day, district-wide trip, former Agriculture Director Fred Dailey will unveil the Dailey Energy Independence Plan. The trip will take place at various gas stations throughout the district.

"As I've been going door-to-door and traveling the district, people have been telling me that increased gas prices are hurting them," said Fred Dailey. "Voters are asking for solutions and I want to offer them my ideas."

Dailey's opponent, Zack Space has not signed any of the seven discharge petitions that would help lower gas prices and decrease our dangerous dependence on foreign oil. Once 218 lawmakers in the U.S. House sign a discharge petition, it must be brought to the Floor for a vote. Space also was the deciding vote to take a five-week vacation instead of staying in Washington to solve our energy woes.

"Space should be ashamed for taking a five-week vacation instead of staying in Washington to help the hard-working families suffering under high gas prices. He continues to obey the wishes of Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama rather than looking out for the 18th Congressional District," Dailey said.
