Ohio AG Polling

SurveyUSA and WKYC.com have a poll (details here)on the Ohio Attorney General's race that we can talk about. Here are the numbers:
An exclusive poll conducted by SurveyUSA and WKYC-TV shows independent candidate Robert Owens with 13% of the vote. The poll of 692 likely Ohio voters was conducted from September 12-14.

Leading the race with 44% is Democrat candidate Richard Cordray, currently Ohio's Treasurer. Republican candidate Mike Crites has 33% of the vote. Crites is a former US Attorney who prosecuted Pete Rose.

The SurveyUSA Channel 3 News poll showed another 10% of likely Ohio voters still undecided, making a projected winner impossible at this time.
By checking out the details we can learn a few things, I guess... First of all: 7% are undecided and their mind is made up...for whatever that is worth... More of Cordray's supports are inclined to change their minds (34%) than Crites (23%) or Owens (22%) voters, although not both combined. However, more of Cordray's voters (47%) have made up their minds than Crites (35%) or Owens (11%) voters.

Geographically the story is rather interesting. Cordray and Crites tie in Toledo and Cincinnati... Crites wins in Dayton (!???) by seven points and Cordray takes Cleveland (no surprise) and Columbus with half the vote in each.

Of course, it is SurveyUSA, so they have oversampled Democrats...that could really be attributed to Operation CHAOS crossover voters screwing with the registration numbers...but SurveyUSA really sucks at polling in Ohio.

Best guess based on this data: Cordray eeks out the win due to the "independent" candidate and Ohio gets more socialism! YAY!
