RELEASE: Krikorian Whines About Debates

Release:
Debate Declined

On July 17th, 2008, The Christ Hospital contacted all three congressional candidates, via letter, regarding the Ohio 2nd Congressional District Health Care Issues Forum. The purpose of the forum was to discuss problems and potential solutions for providing affordable high quality health care in our district. According to the letter, the three congressional candidates in the 2nd district were to have 15 minutes to present their health care proposals (issues to be provided well in advance). Each candidate would then have 5 minutes to address the other candidates' proposals followed by audience questions. With respect to the congressional schedule, five proposed dates were given (August 28, September 3 & 4, and October 1 & 2) with an alternative Wednesday or Thursday in September or October offered as another option due to the importance of each candidate's participation.

David Krikorian agrees that the issue of health care is important and that effective local leadership is essential to the 2nd district's physical and economic health. Unfortunately, this debate never took place as Congresswoman Jean Schmidt (R) declined the invitation, and without Schmidt, Victoria Wulsin (D), who had previously confirmed, backed out as well. Schmidt ran and Wulsin hid behind her.

The dates were flexible and the issues were to be provided well in advance. Isn't a forum on the issue of health care in our district worth two hours of Representative Schmidt and Dr. Wulsin's time? The people's interests are not being served by Schmidt and Wulsin's run and hide response.

Challenge to Debate Renewed

David Krikorian invites Schmidt and Wulsin to debate the economy, currently the most pressing challenge facing us today. In the 2nd district, people are losing jobs and incomes are falling, while prices for the things they need are skyrocketing. Our federal trade and budget deficits are out of control, yet little is done to control spending. The value of the U.S. dollar is declining and the more the dollar falls, the more our standard of living declines. Gas prices have already reached $4/gallon this year, while food prices are rising dramatically. Congress must act. We deserve an honest dialogue on this most important issue and a solution for how to get this country back on track.

Mr. Krikorian is a local entrepreneur and business owner who has spent his professional career working in finance, economics, and business. He understands the economic issues we are facing today and has creative and effective solutions to address them. He also understands why his two opponents would be hesitant to debate him, but if they can't rise to his challenge, how can we expect them to effectively represent us in Congress? If they run and hide from a debate with Krikorian, they run and hide from the good people of the 2nd district. "Congresswoman Schmidt," says David Krikorian, "Representatives don't run and hide."

To accept this offer to debate, Schmidt and Wulsin should contact the Krikorian for Congress campaign at 513-271-2987.

If Schmidt does not accept, it will only confirm to the voters that she is not up to the challenges facing our district today. On November 4, they will vote her out of office, rejecting Wulsin as an unacceptable alternative, and electing David Krikorian as their representative to Congress. The people win.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Candidates who whine about debates have a name and that name is loser. This is just desperate. It is Politics 101, when one of your opponents is having a hard time getting noticed, you don't help them out. Kevorkian Krikorian has reached a new low...and it is still FUNNY! Sad and pathetic, but funny...
