STATEMENT: Crites Calls for Special Investigator on 'Joe the Plumber' Matter

Statement from Mike Crites, Republican candidate for Ohio Attorney General:
Columbus – “As the troubling details unfold in the politically-charged matter of alleged illegal violations of privacy by public employees, it’s crucial that state leaders avoid even the slightest hint of bias in their investigations.

“I know Attorney General Nancy Rogers to be a person of impeccable integrity, but she was also appointed by the Governor and one of the alleged violations appears to have occurred with a computer account originating from her office. I’m sure General Rogers will see the public benefit of having someone from outside her office review the matter, since the Inspector General has no authority to investigate.”
