Team Krikorian Lies Again

In the emailed press release reproduced below, Team Krikorian implies that Republican Leader, my Congressman and a Great American -- John Boehner -- has "endorsed" some part of the so-called "Krikorian Plan." However: Boehner has done no such thing.

When Team Boehner stopped laughing and realized that I was serious I was informed that Boehner’s plan includes the same pro-growth policies that he and other House Republicans have been talking about for months. Nancy Pelosi is going to try and force through a massive $300 billion spending package; Barney Frank has made clear the Democrats will try and raise taxes; Joe Biden lowered the tax-hike threshold for an Obama-Biden administration to $150,000. Boehner believes – as do the majority of Americans – that raising taxes and government spending will not get our economy moving again and will not create jobs. He’s presented an alternative to the tax-raising big-government spending programs that Democrats want to enact.

While Krikorian claims that a copy of "his" plan was sent to Boehner, there is no evidence to show that Team Boehner even read "his" plan let alone "endorses" it. Near as I can tell, if Krikorian can say that Boehner has endorsed "his" plan than I can say that Krikorian has endorsed the Jean Schmidt plan...

She voted yes on H.R.4297, which included a provision to extend lower rates on capital gains taxes.

I also found this press release from last year discussing the implications of the new Democrat majority:
"The federal tax code is nearly nine times longer than the Holy Bible. But, tucked within its many volumes are historic and significant pro-growth provisions enacted by the 107th and 108th Congresses. These provisions have put more money in the pockets of hard-working Americans. Some examples include reducing marriage penalties in the standard deduction and 15 percent rate bracket; lowering the tax rate on capital gains and dividend income to 15 percent; increasing the child tax credit to $1000; and increasing the child and dependent care tax credit. The bottom line is pro-growth policies help -- not penalize -- married couples, small businesses and families."
But that doesn't address the capital gains tax directly, so I asked Bruce Pfaff:
"Unlike Mr. Krikorian, Congresswoman Schmidt is a true fiscal conservative and yes she does support elimination of the Cap gains tax."
So there you have it...

Let's recap for all you sports fans out there. Here are just a few of the Angry Armenian's claims of late:

  • He saw the credit crisis coming more than 10 years ago well before anyone else in the know

  • He told the Cincinnati News Record that he had it on good authority that the Fed was going to shut down the US banking system

  • You're either with him or against America

  • He’s not a Dem but has only voted in Dem Primary Elections

  • He’s a Reagan conservative, but he gave $1000 to one of the most liberal Democrat Anti-Reagan candidates (Wulsin) in the country (He also held a fundraiser for her in his home)

  • He is running a clean campaign but he shot his mouth off and attacked Rep. Schmidt regarding the hit-and-run accident

  • Back on point: It seems to me that once again the Angry Armenian is co-opting long held GOP party platform planks and claiming they are his. Claiming an endorsement where none ever existed is simply lying to the good people of the Second District. OH-02 deserves better than that.

Lastly, if Jean Schmidt had made a claim like this, some schmuck would have already filed a complaint with somebody...
