I'm starting to see some very encouraging signs that Fred Thompson may yet latch on to a leadership role within the Republican Party. With Fred in this role Newt Gingrich (although I still have my reservations about this idea, but that's another post) or Michael Steele become much more palatable as Chairman for the administrative operations.
Fred has the ability to speak eloquently and plainspoken when addressing issues from the conservative perspective. He really is the best of both worlds for the Republican Party and we would be wise to tap this particular talent and wisdom.
