Intrepid reporter Josh has a story in the Oxford Press about a deal that has been struck between the county and the state regarding property taxes and a reappraisal of some parcels in the county that would take in to account the 2008 property values.
Commissioner Don Dixon has been a key player in getting this deal done. Now Commissioner Furmon, Treasurer Nancy Nix, and Auditor Roger Reynolds have some more work to do as they are, collectively, the Board of Revision (BCBoR). The BCBoR needs to evaluate each parcel of land in the reappraisal. Dixon says: "We're just five months behind where we ought to be." Sounds like overtime is in order...
