Remember way back, like a few months ago, when Obama said he would not be in the pocket of lobbyists, and that he would not be beholden to special interests? Well, he named as his chief of staff fundraiser Rahm Emanuel, who is in the pocket of Wall Street. Well, he has several other lobbyists on his transition team. In fact, the very night of his victory, his first order of business after the celebration in the park was to address lobbyists and fundraisers. Two hours after his acceptance speech, Obama met in a private tent with members of his campaign's national finance committee. In fact, his website was immediately transformed into a fundraising site for Democrats. Let's look at the members of the change team for transition:
Susan Rice and Federico Pena--gave at least 50 grand each.
Valerie Jarrett--real estate manager who raised 100 grand. Jarrett was a chief of staff to Mayor Daley and is close friends to Michelle Obama, dating back to when she was engaged to Barack Obama.
William Daley--brother to Chicago thug mayor Daley
Former Clinton EPA administrator Carol Browner; and domestic advisor to Al Gore Mr. Gips, who has financially supported Obama since 04.
Funny, I thought this administration was going to leave behind the politics of the past.....guess not...Obama's word--one more thing we just can't believe in.
