I just realized that I have been unfair to Kevin DeWine with the headline to this piece. Kent Moore is an idiot who -- near as I can tell -- acted alone. That it is even plausible that the Ohio Republican Party would sanction this slander against the Tea Party movement says a LOT about the state of affairs here, but I should have been more careful with the headline.
While we're on the subject, I have been told that our friends in Columbus still actually read WMD. Which is a surprise to me because I never hear from them unless I send them an email. I'll say this again, and leave it as an open invitation: If you guys think something I have written is unfair or not the whole story, email me. I want to get the story right. Sometimes I post things that even I know can't be the whole story. Part of why I do that is so that people can start looking at the way these things happen.
