Yost Endorsed by Ohio Society of CPAs

Release:

(Dublin, Ohio) The Ohio Society of CPAs today endorsed Dave Yost, Republican candidate for Auditor of State.

Yost, a former county auditor who now serves as Delaware County's prosecuting attorney, received the OSCPA endorsement in large part due to his past experience and future priorities, according to the Society's voter guide. "We look forward to working with Dave as he builds on current State Auditor Mary Taylor's strong financial controls across state and local government, significantly expands Ohio's performance audit program, and aggressively evaluates suspected fraudulent activities on the part of public officials to protect Ohio taxpayers," said Clark Price, President of the OSCPA.
The Ohio Society of CPAs is a professional association of more than 23,000 Certified Public Accountants working in public accounting, corporate industry, education and government to meet the accounting and financial needs of businesses and individuals throughout Ohio. It represents the profession's interests before government, regulatory bodies, and other organizations. It is also the premier endorsement in the race for State Auditor.
The OSCPA-endorsed candidate has always won election. They have been endorsing since 1994.
"This endorsement speaks volumes," said Jim Petro, who served two terms as Ohio Auditor. "These are the professionals who know best who will make the better Auditor. To have their support is an affirmation of Dave's qualifications and professionalism."
"I'm honored to be endorsed by the Ohio Society of CPAs," Yost said. "Their support is crucial to my campaign. I look forward to working beside them as State Auditor."
