The big news this afternoon ought to surprise nobody: Prosecutor Mike Gmoser told losing candidate Jason Philabaum to pack his bags. Also in the "sky is blue" vein is the word that Gmoser hired failed candidate Lance Salyers to replace Jason. Gmoser and Salyers were pretty much covering for each other throughout the campaign.
Also changing is the staff in the Clerk's office. When Mary Swain took over, she gave every employee a job description and asked them to turn in a resume. Now she has a number of Carpenter crew off on paid leave and word on the street is that those folks are out.
Is anybody really shocked that these changes are taking place? Not me...
UPDATE: Those firings at the Clerks office are now official...
