COLUMBUS – Today Gov. John R. Kasich issued a resolution designating Saturday, May 21, 2011, as Armed Forces Day in Ohio, and encouraged citizens across the state to honor the brave men and women who have served, and are serving, in the United States Armed Forces. Since our country’s inception, members of the military and their families have made great sacrifices in order to ensure the freedoms and safety the rest of us enjoy every day. On this Armed Forces Day, it is important to take time to thank those who have and continue to protect us through their service in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard.A copy of Gov. Kasich’s Armed Forces Day resolution can be read here.
