Congressman Boehner On Latest Unemployment Figures For Ohio

Statement:
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman John Boehner (R-West Chester) released the following statement regarding Ohio’s unemployment rate of 8.6% for the month of May:

“In Ohio and across America, our economy is not creating enough private sector jobs, and the policies coming out of Washington are a big reason why. In Ohio, signs of improvement are being seen, courtesy of Governor Kasich and the policies his administration has implemented, but the situation remains unacceptable. Job growth in our state, as in other states, is still being hampered by the policies of President Obama and his allies – who by their own admission ‘own’ this economy and the consequences it is having for American workers.

“In Congress, House Republicans have put forth a plan to remove government barriers to private-sector job growth and help our economy get back to creating jobs. I urge President Obama and his allies to change course and work with us to enact these reforms.”
