St. Rep. Adams Named Chairman of House Committee

COLUMBUS—State Representative Richard Adams (R-Troy) today was appointed by Ohio House Speaker William G. Batchelder (R-Medina) to serve as chairman of the House Financial Institutions, Housing and Urban Development Committee for the remainder of the 129^th General Assembly. He will also continue to serve on the Finance & Appropriations Committee, Finance Subcommittee on Health and Human Services, as well as the Commerce and Labor Committee.

 

“I have enjoyed my work as part of the Financial Institutions Committee and am honored to serve as chairman,” Rep. Adams said. “We will continue to work on legislation that will be beneficial for the people of Ohio.”

 

Adams is a current member of the Unity National Bank Board of Directors. He previously served two terms as Miami County commissioner and also has a long background as an educator.

 

The 79^th House District includes Miami County and portions of Darke County.
