Columbus - Ohio Republican Party Chairman Kevin DeWine released the following statement this morning in response to Secretary of State Jon Husted's announcement that the Health Care Freedom Amendment has received the required number of signatures to make the November 2011 ballot:
"Government-mandated health care will cost Ohio jobs. The Health Care Freedom Amendment's certification by the Secretary of State represents a stunning rebuke of President Obama's failed domestic agenda," Chairman DeWine said.
"After boasting for months that this accomplishment was simply unattainable, Ohio Democrats and liberal special interests that walk in lockstep with the president's far left policies are now scrambling to disenfranchise millions of Ohio voters and further waste taxpayer dollars. They were wrong when they said this day would not come and they will not be successful in denying Ohioans with a referendum on Obamacare in November," Chairman DeWine said.
