Gov. Kasich Denies Clemency for Mark Wayne Wiles

COLUMBUS – Gov. John R. Kasich has denied a request for executive clemency from Mark Wayne Wiles, who in 1986 was convicted of the aggravated murder of Mark Klima in Rootstown (Portage Co.).

Wiles is scheduled to be executed on April 18th at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville. On March 23, the Ohio Parole Board unanimously recommended against clemency for Wiles
