Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio) issued the following statement in observance of the National Day of Prayer: “As we observe the 61st Annual National Day of Prayer, we are reminded of the importance of prayer and the blessing of living in a country founded on the principles of faith and freedom. Today we join together across all creeds, as one nation united in prayer, recognizing the many challenges we face cannot divide a nation bound in unyielding faith. “We pray for our country, particularly for the brave men and women who wear the uniform of the United States military. As we do so, we are reminded of our state's motto that with God, all things are possible.”
