Clark Not A Democrat (Yet)

The campaign of Democratic presidential candidate Wesley Clark said yesterday that the former general is not yet a registered Democrat, but that the paperwork to change his registration "has been sitting on his desk for the last couple of weeks."
...
Mr. Clark has said that throughout much of his military career he voted Republican, supporting both Ronald Reagan in 1984 and Richard Nixon in 1972. More recently, he said that he did not vote for George W. Bush in 2000, deciding to back Al Gore, but he praised the president at a Republican fund-raising dinner two years ago and enthusiastically supported the president's tax cuts.

Check out the piece from the Washington Times.

Matt's Chat

Mr. Clark didn't have time to register as a Democrat. Hmm... Curious...

Mark's Remarks

Well, he needs to waffle on it three or four more times before he does it, then ask his press sec. and the Clintons before registering. Or, he is going to travel to the future to get Mr. Spock's opinion on whether this will hurt his future run for President of the Federation of Planets. This guy is a whackjob, to be sure, and surprised he made it through the psych screening in the military. Also, his waffling shows a lack of a backbone. Maybe he lost it when he was commanding NATO in needless actions, or allowing Rwandans to die and let our troops watch as Rwandans were slaughtered. Maybe that is it....Yeah, that must be the new patriotism and freedom he is talking about....the right to watch wholesale slaughter and not go in, to have so little moral standing that you sit idly by.....
