Clintons Sued

Hollywood producer Peter Paul has sued former President Bill Clinton, and U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton, contending the former first couple got him in trouble with federal authorities by failing to report his $2 million in-kind contributions to her Senate campaign.

Judicial Watch, which has sued the Clintons several times over alleged campaign finance violations, filed the lawsuit on Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court on behalf of Paul, who is in a federal detention facility in New York after being extradited from Brazil last month to face federal fraud charges.

In December 2001, a Los Angeles judge dismissed a similar lawsuit in which Paul sought damages and the return of stocks and cash he had pledged to Hillary Clinton's campaign.

Matt's Chat

My only question is this: Why would a guy who lives in California care who the senator from New York is? I'm not going to say that this doesn't happen with other candidates including Republicans. My point is should it happen at all? How can New Yorkers know what they are getting if funding for the candidate is coming from California?

Mark's Remarks

Well, why would it happen? Because the guy in California is a friend of Bill...and friends of Bill better be friends of Hillary, or she will Ron Brown or Vince Foster you. it is simple, Liberals will contribute to any campaign that propagates leftism. Even if they do not have as much a vested interest, as in this case. Of course, the Clintons will use some of their Buddhist Monk buddies or the Operation Pink folks to pay the legal bills, or I am sure it is all another right wing conspiracy.....
