Matt's Chat
Major combat may be over in Iraq, but the United States is still engaged in a War against terrorism. The 100th victim of terrorism died today and that is a tragedy. That is not the president's fault, that is the terrorists fault. Instead of using this event as a chance to stick it to the administration, we should instead focus our energies and disdain at the terrorists who feel it is a great thing to kill Americans. I'm sure this will be covered with far less "balance" in most media outlets; fortunately WMD is not a media outlet.
Mark's Remarks
No, Matt, we wouldnt even be in this situation if the liberal Left had not pressured the administration to announce the end to combat operations. Those low attention span knee jerks kept "when is it gonna be over? when is it gonna be over?" and unfortunately in an effort to bridge the great divide again, the President declared major combat over. This is a tragedy, but it is nothing compared to the lives that could have been lost if Saddam was allowed to continue, and we owe it to these brave soldiers and patriots to continue to fight, not to do the usual liberal cut and run, with our tails between our legs.
