General Needs to Go

Lt. Gen. William Boykin, a top Pentagon intelligence official, apologized for remarks he made about Muslims, including saying that radical Muslims hate the United States "because we're a Christian nation, because our foundation and roots are Judeo-Christian and the enemy is a guy named Satan."

In a statement issued late Friday, Boykin said, "For those who have been offended by my statements, I offer a sincere apology."

Matt's Chat

Muslim Americans are not impressed. And neither am I. This general should know better. There is a LOT at stake and he should never made such ridiculous statements. You don't get a second chance in the Information Age, so this general needs to pack his bags.

Mark's Remarks

I could not agree more. While I do believe what we are fighting is evil, it is not the religion of the terrorists that makes them evil. As stated before, by our President and many others, we know Islam is a religion of peace. These maniacs out there pervert their faith and bend it to get across their power and political aims. That is the true evil. This general needs at least re-assigned or retired, at most fired.
