New Numbers Are IN...And They Look GOOD For Bush

President Bush's approval rating -- which had declined in recent weeks -- moved back up, primarily due to big gains among men and among high-income Americans, according to a new CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll.

A majority of registered voters say that Bush deserves to be re-elected, but only 38 percent of voters say they will definitely vote for Bush, according to the poll. With exactly the same number saying they would vote against Bush, the battle for the swing voters in the middle seems more important than ever.

Matt's Chat

My advice to the President...keep pressing on...keep telling the good news...keep it up...don't give up...and don't relent even a little bit.

Mark's Remarks

Exactly...keep getting the word out, telling the good news...you notice, even when things are dim, Bush has stuck to his mission..some would call that arrogance, I would call th at integrity and fortitude.....and he has not attacked or slammed those who call him a gang leader...Now liberals will say because he is so arrogant he does not care, I think it is because he wants to be above that....but liberals love to drag him down, with doctored pictures, little phrases, funny little emails....but you don't see him or his people coming back with the same responses.....Clinton, all you had to do was say something to disagree, and you made his craplist and had to watch your step...Bush, he seems more forgiving, shall we say? Hmmm......which side truly then is the more open and understanding of diversity of opinion? Hmm....

Also, I have seen some spin out there about how men and better income numbers are all that raised Bush's numbers...Well, I hate to be the one to bring REALITY to the liberals, but those historically are the people who vote.....It is typically the better educated people who vote, and typically men over women who vote....also, look at what it said...A majority (not just related to income, but a majority) of registered voters said Bush deserved to be re-elected...Now, in this sense, I am sure the true elitism of the liberals will come out....ie. "the masses aren't educated, they are sheep..." which we have all heard before......ridiculous two-facedness...On the one hand, Republicans supposedly pander to the wealthy, but yet when Joe Average says he likes them, he is called a sheep and ignorant by liberals...who, then are the real elitists?
Bottom Line: keep it up, Mr. President.
