TURKEY TO SEND TROOPS TO IRAQ

Turkey's decision to send peacekeeping troops to Iraq is a victory for the Bush administration, which has been working for months to entice allies to send more forces - especially Muslim troops - to ease pressure on stressed-out American forces.

Matt's Chat

This is a boost for the president, the administration, our troops, and Iraq. Even though I can understand the provisional council's position, having Muslim troops protecting Iraq is a great idea.

Mark's Remarks

The Provisional Council needs to realize what we are ALL trying to build. We are trying to build connections in the region. We need both parties, Iraqi and Turks, to put the past behind them and work for the betterment of the overall people of Iraq. Also, if they work together, maybe they can build a new coalition of the willing to help out the cause of peace in the Middle East....lord knows the UN has failed...maybe all of this can build us a new coalition where the denizens and inhabitants of the region can do what the UN cannot....keep the peace.
