This looks like discrimination to me...Mark's Remarks
OK, if it were a private Christian school saying crescents were not allowed but crosses were OK, or a public school doing the same; there would be a collective outrage. This is ridiculous. I wish those on the far left who hate Christians would petition Congress, instead of filing court cases with judges who want to legislate, and sidestepping the legislative bodies of the nation. So, I guess the teachers are willing to come in on Dec. 25, right, if Christmas is not to be celebrated?
Look, the reason listed in the Federal Government's recognition of Christmas as a national holiday says that it is because of the influence of Jesus's teachings and philosophy of understanding he taught, not specifically that he is Lord and God. Now, I believe that, but it is ok if others don't. However, what is not ok is the subjugation of freedom of worship of Christans, while allowing the equally religiously significant symbols of a menorah or crescent. It is about time we stood up to the Thought Police and quit erring on the side of not wanting to be labelled racist, zealotous, or any of those other convenient epithets the left uses. It is an outrage that NYC schools is doing this....
That is it...I am not one for being in your face about my religion, or about such things, but now I am going to do it to irritate these liberalista thought police. So, no more friggin happy holidays, no more of that nonsense...From now on, Merry CHRISTmas, happy season of my Lord and Savior's birth. I have had it with those on the left who claim this is about fairness, when all it is is actually hiding behind the separation clause, and actually discriminating against Christians.
