Buried in this article is a quote from an Iranian ambassador to the IAEA threatening that if the agency finds Iran in breach of the Non-Proliferation Treaty that there would be consequences and that the situation would "get out of control." Like what? Iran would develop nuclear weapons without fulfilling their obligations in reporting themselves to the UN for sanctions as they agreed to do under the NPT? That is an outrage.My colleague makes the humorous case against the UN, but it is quite clear that no amount of "tough resolutions" will ever be enforced by the Unimportant Nobodies and Iran KNOWS THAT... If I were Iran, I would do exactly what they are doing...stalling as Saddam Hussein did. I have no doubt that given twelve years and seventeen resolutions, Iran will not only have nuclear weapons, they will have deployed them. The only question is against whom...their own people or another nation.

Well, if France is involved, I am sure it will take 16 more "tough" resolutions and 12 years, during which Iran will develop nukes, before anyone can do anything. Wow, what is it, another case of : don't do that, or we will say don't do that again? Yeah, that worked so well for Nazi Germany, and so well for Iraq....yep...keep dreamin'.
