You Want Jobs, Here They Come!!!!

The U.S. labor market is much stronger than earlier thought, as the economy added more than a quarter of a million jobs over the past three months, the Labor Department said Friday.

The U.S. economy added 126,000 nonfarm payroll jobs in October after a revised gain of 125,000 in September, more than double the 57,000 originally reported, the agency said in its closely watched employment report. Read the lowdown here.

Matt's Chat

to paraphrase Kevin Costner in Field of Dreams, "If you build the economy, the jobs will come." I'm with those who cautions against a false sense of security, there is still much work to be done on the economic front of President Bush's domestic agenda. But the news on the econmic front can't be ignored either. I don't dance, but I know a step or two...

Mark's Remarks

286,000 jobs in 3 months? Not bad for someone who supposedly has no plan...Mr. Lieberman, you should revise your statements...This president is seeing new jobs created under his plans and tenure, and you are doing nothing but trying to bait a mock class struggle and polarize people, at a time when Americans need to come together...Of course, you probably helped write Jay's little memo, too.....
