Another Democrat Loses His Sanity

The Washington congressman who criticized President Bush while visiting Baghdad last year has questioned the timing of the capture of deposed Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.

Rep. Jim McDermott, D-Wash., told a Seattle radio station Monday the U.S. military could have found Saddam "a long time ago if they wanted." Asked if he thought the weekend capture was timed to help Bush, McDermott chuckled and said: "Yeah. Oh, yeah."

The Democratic congressman went on to say, "There's too much by happenstance for it to be just a coincidental thing."

When interviewer Dave Ross asked again if he meant to imply the Bush administration timed the capture for political reasons, McDermott said: "I don't know that it was definitely planned on this weekend, but I know they've been in contact with people all along who knew basically where he was. It was just a matter of time till they'd find him.

"It's funny," McDermott added, "when they're having all this trouble, suddenly they have to roll out something."

Matt's Chat

Is this supposed to be responsible journalism? This Congressman obviously has some issues that would be better worked out in private.

Rep. McDermott, pay close attention, touting conspiracy theories makes you sound like a Howard Dean crank. I don't know what you think you are going to accomplish by espousing such ridiculous crap. As a politican, you should know a bit about how the news cycle works. What possible advantage would there be to timing the release of the news of Saddam's capture until the wee hours of a Sunday morning? It defies all logic that you or any of your other black-helicopter-conspiracy-theorizing ilk could possibly think that this President cares more about re-election than doing what he feels is RIGHT for America.

Once again, the Democrat mantra is brought to the front...never let the TRUTH get in the way of a good smear.

Mark's Remarks

No, Matt, Baghdad Jim is right.....I was there...You see (cue dream sequence music and flashback effects)....
It all happened on the way back from Crawford...I had just received my orders from Darth Haliburton, when suddenly an idea popped into Dubya's head- Dubya and I always ride back from our secret meetings together with all the conservatives (this is a huge black helicopter, about the size of Ted Kennedy's ego/waistline). He said," I know, I will pretend not to know where Saddam is, and then, just when things don't seem good, I will send in some soldiers to find him, because Saddam and I are really chat buddies...this war is just a big act...really.." I replied," how brilliant George, but won't intrepid Howeird Dean and Baghdad Jim figure us out..." and look, he has...well, we are gonna hve to go back to the drawin board, then, said dubya as.........(end music and sequence)

What the heck was I talking about? I can't remember...My head is spinning from all the twisting by the Dims and by the stench of the vile B.S. Dean and McDermott and all the other hamsters are spewing.....I mean really, do you see how ridiculous this crap the Libs are spewing is?

Really, folks...this is drivel and sour grapes....these dims and libs are on the wrong side of history, AGAIN! They were wrong about our military, AGAIN! They doubted in America, AGAIN! They were proven to be nothing but petty fearmongerers and hateful spiteful power grabbers, AGAIN! So, they have to come up with something.

Again, pity, isnt it? When you have to hope for Bad News from Iraq and that the economy tanks? When you have to spin so much you don't know your head from your butt, but oh wait, its all the same with the Dims, lately, isn't it? Zell and Joe are the only ones left practically who are at least intellectually honest about this war....But I am sure they will pay for speaking out against the true totalitarian and monolithic party, the Dimocrat Party. It is no longer the Democrat Party-the repsectable party that produced men like Truman, FDR, Kennedy, or Scoop Jackson. Nope, this is the Dimocrat party, because the leadership is dim (if not downright absent) and the far left exremists have dimmed the shine off this historic party. Tom Jefferson and the Founders are shaking their heads in shame.
