Jobless Claims at Lowest Level Since Jan. 2001
From the Sun Herald:The number of Americans filing new claims for unemployment benefits dropped for the third consecutive week last week, pushing jobless claims to the lowest level in more than three years.
The Labor Department reported Thursday that the number of laid-off workers seeking jobless benefits fell by 6,000 last week to 336,000, a level that was last seen the week of Jan. 13, 2001, just before Bill Clinton relinquished the White House to George W. Bush.

Of course the hamsters were wrong....look at every major issue in the past 30 years, they have been wrong. To wit:
1. Carter--appease the Soviet Union. Result: The Soviets built up an advantage in nukes AND invaded Afghanistan and extended hegemony.
2. Carter--let Iran fall apart despite being friendly to the US under the Shah. Result: Iran becomes poster child for extremist terrorist fanatical perverters of Islam, and Americans are held hostage for 444 days.
3. Clinton--talk big and do little but fire missiles into the dark against terror. Result: emboldened terrorists who think we are afraid.
4. Clinton--treat terror as law enforcement matter that leads to investigations bogged down and no results. Result: 9/11.
5. Clinton--ignore the entreaties of the Sudan who offered bin Laden on the principle that they are not our friends. Result: UBL plans and funds 9/11.
6. Clinton--gut and cut the military and intelligence budget, and do not speak with a clear voice on foreign policy. Result: 12 years of stonewalling, thousands murdered and raped and tortured by Saddam, poor intel and resources.
Shall I go on? Just face it hamsters, you have been and will continue to be absolutely, unequivicably, substantially, totally and wholly WRONG!!!!
Remember how you said Reagan was wrong about cutting taxes to raise revenues? Yep, you guessed it. Hamster libs were wrong again.
And, remember, this latest material does not count the 1099 workers, which in the household survey has indicated great leaps in employment, so hamsters, once again, YOU ARE WRONG!!!
