News: Compare and Contrast

This is CNN:
More than 60 people gathered Monday in Washington for a march to the White House, calling for an end to U.S. military action in Iraq.
...
There were also a few counterprotesters calling the demonstrators "traitors" and yelling, "Stop the left-wing violence."
From the News Tribune (Tacoma WA):
Saturday, as men like Stroup packed duffel bags with clothes and gear, some 4,000 supporters stood on freeway bridges spanning Interstate 5 from Fort Lewis to McChord Air Force Base.

There were also about 20 antiwar protesters, according to law enforcement officials.

Matt's Chat

Isn't this coverage fascinating! It is almost as if the mainstream, national media wants to highlight dissention in America. Why on earth would they want that? Could it be they are backing Kerry? Hmmm...not very objective of them, is it?

This goes back to something that Mahatma said in the comments of a previous story: President Bush has got to get out front and start telling these stories, because relying on CNN and the rest of the Disciples of Doom (tm) in the media aren't going to do it. Looks to me like the mainstream media is part of the Democrat Attack Squad (tm) to me...

Mark's Remarks

It is true....mainstream media is no longer worthy of that title. From now on, they are the Partisan Media (thanks Rush!!!!). They are obviously wanting to drum up hatred of the war to better help Kerry, not caring that these idiot protestors were protesting outside a hospital filled with heroes wounded in the line of duty...great pr work there, idiots. Makes me wish General Patton were around to teach them some manners about being around heroes (think of the "battle fatigue" scene in the movie). It is terrible that the Partisan Media only cares about drumming up support for Kerry. Look at all the noncoverage you have to come to outlets like WMD for, that you have to go to Drudge for. These highlight Kerry's lies and gaffes, but does the media cover them, INSTEAD THEY COVER UP FOR THEM!!!! Look at today: a Boston Globe reporter is claiming it was him misquoting John Kerry's foreign endorsemens comments, that he said more, not foreign. Give me a break. If that were true, Kerry's camp would have denied this whole foreign endorsement thing. However, they were out there trumpeting and defending it, making up equivocations for something that this reporter says he made up through misquotes. However, I think it is blatant by the Partisan Media to support their candidate. They see Kerry is beginning to lose it, look at how he treated Mr. Cedric Brown when called on his own foreign endorsement crap. "It's none of your business," Mr. Kerry said. I beg to differ. First, he is on OUR payroll. We are paying his salary FOR NOT SHOWING UP in the Senate. Second, if he wants the job of President, we need to know if he was hindering our progress in foreign relations for his own political gain. Also, knowing these supposed foreign leaders would let us know how he would conduct himself. However, we can see he would be the second coming of Jimmy Carter. It would be all about appeasement and malaise....with a side dose of Bill Clinton corruption thrown in.
