CBS News Doesn't Get Conservatives

From CBS News:
"If we have two or three more weeks of this you are going to start to see Republican members of Congress who have never been critical of President Bush and the Iraq policy starting to get that way," said Charles Cook, editor of the nonpartisan Cook Political Report.

Republican Party ranks are beginning to break and the White House is worried. Longtime GOP critics on Iraq are growing progressively more vocal in their condemnation.

Matt's Chat

The Partisan Media is at it again. These guys wouldn't know what conservatives really think if they had one on their staff. Republicans want to win this thing. And we are winning. Don't let these fools misguide you in to thinking that the whole country has gone crazy in the last week. We are talking about the Sunni Triangle. About 10% of the country.

What we need to do is get even more aggressive and root these terrorists out.

I still stand behind the administrative transfer of power to the Iraqis on schedule. The troops aren't pulling out on July 1st...Paul Bremer and CPA will leave, but the battle against terror will continue.

We are winning...this latest round of violence clearly shows just how desperate the terrorists have become. Zarqawi's letter clearly indicated this would be what they would try... The Mogadishu Maneuver must not succeeed or we will lose more than Iraq. Zarqawi has claimed responsibility for these attacks according to CNN. Don't play in to his hand by listening to partisans who only want to unseat the President and reclaim power.

I will agree with one point though: I have been saying for quite some time now that we need more troops in Iraq. But more importantly, we need that heavy equipment back in there to take this war back off the streets.

Mark's Remarks

Dims just can't seem to make up their mind on this...First I heard, let's get out...now I hear, let's stay in, and send more troops, then Robert "KKK" Byrd (you know, the former Klansman Senator whom Chris Dodd of Michigan said would have been right even if he had been around during the Civil War) today said we don't need to send in more troops....I mean, this is about as confusing as Kerry's steel tariff nuance/shiftiness....Would someone please take a poll so the liberals can pander speak with a unified voice?

Seriously, this war needs to be won....Now we are even having the Partisan Press seeking to divide and conquer the Republican party....It just shows you how UNconfident they are in John "the F stands for Flip Flop" Kerry.

We need the firm leadership this President has provided, and the support he has given our troops...We do not need the likes of someone who voted for the troops before he voted against them, someone who voted against every major weapon being used today in the fight, or someone who has called his own "brothers in arms" rapists, murderers, and Genghis Khans based on false statements....
