Pope Prays About Terror

From CBS News:
Pope John Paul II called Sunday for world leaders to resolve conflicts in Iraq, the Middle East and Africa, and used his Easter message to pray that hope will conquer the "inhuman" and growing phenomenon of terrorism.

Matt's Chat

How about the phenomenon of terror that priests have carried out against members of their own congregations. Did the pope pray about that? Well, did he?

Mark's Remarks

Gentle readers, Matt has a vested interest in the whole Pope thing, as he is, according to his own description, a recovering Catholic. He has his own axes to grind.

Myself, while I agree with the issues raised by my colleague, I must say that prayers by anyone against terrorism are encouraged.

However, if the pope really wanted to do something, why doesn't he also throw his influence behind the efforts to weed out these animals, eh?
