Daschle Looks in the Mirror

From the AP via Aberdeen News:
Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle decried Monday what he called the "startling meanness" of American politics.

The South Dakotan, who has been Senate Democratic leader for nine years and is seeking re-election in November, said campaigns were especially ugly in 2002 and that the ugliness continues.

"Today, enormous new challenges confront each and every one of us," he said. "We will not meet those challenges or seize those opportunities if we indulge in the brutal politics of division, if we attempt to silence those who have other ideas."

Matt's Chat

Uhh...Tom...why don't you demonstrate some of that in the Senate. What? You are another "Do as I say, not as I do" liberal? Huh...I'd have never guessed. You can close the pie hole now too. Thanks.

What is it with the liberals today...are they trying to get me ticked off? It's too early for this nonsense.

Mark's Remarks

After these comments were made, someone removed the mirror from Daschole's gaze, and he said, "oh my, we really are that hateful and mean spirited! Egads!"

Mr. Dashcle, if you really wish to do something about the hatefulness of politics, you will tell your buddies like Moveon.org, Harold Ickes, and others to stop with the comparisons of Bush to Hitler, the MisLeader ads, etc. Instead of calling names, focus on the issues. Also, in your own House of Congress, as leader of Dims in Senate, you sir can tell folks like Teddy "Homicidal Drunk" Kennedy and Hillary "Miserable Failure" Clinton, and the other attack dogs to knock it off. Look at the record, look at the facts. It has been, and will continue to be, the liberals who are doing the attacking, not based on issues, but instead based on black helicoper theories, class warfare rhetoric, and the other hateful bile and spite. Mr. Dashcle, you are a hypocrite and a shallow one at that. Don't you have a funeral parlor, er, I mean Party to run?
