An 18-year-old aspiring rapper from Pittsburg nicknamed "Kanyva" was arrested Monday after he reportedly shot and killed his promoter because she told him he didn't have the talent to sell records, police said.
Juston Michael Potts was booked on suspicion of murder after confessing to shooting Shani Renee Holloway, 31, as she sat in a car with her 23-year-old boyfriend Sunday in Pittsburg, said city police Inspector John Conaty.

Truly sad....I wonder how many more of these, which happen with regularity, will have to happen to get the African American community to wake up and rise up, to throw off the bonds of liberal servitude and self-loathing, and self-destruction, and to take on a better way.
I remember when Rap had a message. When it was about what was happening in the streets and the need for change. Now, all we get is glorified sex, violence, drug use, and hatred of women...and one wonders why rape is up, murder is up, and drug use is up in black communities, as well as poor white urban communities. Simply tragic.
