Coup D'etat?

By Matt Hurley for the TIB Network:

From Rambling's Journal:
US Representative Corrine Brown (D-FL) got her hand smacked by her fellow Congressmen yesterday after referring to the 2000 election fiasco as a "coup d'état" on the floor of the House.

The verbal battle began after Congressman Steve Buyer (R-IN) proposed a measure which would bar any US official from requesting United Nations observers come monitor the US general election in November. The suggestion of UN inspectors has been made by Brown and other members of the Congressional Black Caucus and Congressional Progressive Caucus. They argue that "disenfranchised" citizens were not able to vote in 2000, and are "afraid" that those same "disenfranchised" citizens might not be able to vote again in 2004.

Matt's Chat

Lie after lie after lie after lie. This was all cooked up in FLORIDA! HALLIBURTON! Corrine demands a UN monitoring!

Give me a friggin' break...

This kind of rhetoric is irresponsible, yet typical, of the lefties suffering Moore's Disease these days. Recount after recount after recount after recount showed that George W. Bush won Florida in 2000. No amount of BS from the Congressional Black Caucus or the Congressional Progressive (Liberal - redundant) Caucus will change the FACT that George W. Bush won that election.

Mark's Remarks

Yes, you see, liberals will throw the Constitution in your face to defend abortion, (I don't see that anywhere), gay marriage (nope, no signs either), or to attempt to garner HillaryCare (you guessed it, not in there). However, when it comes to following the rules for electing President, the libs just want to create their own rules and choose who to dienfranchise. They will not tell you how their guy wanted to disenfranchise thousands of our brave men and women. But they will tell mythical stories of people in white sheets straight out of Mississippi Burning even though study after study has been done showing a proper election and that every recount with every chad (pregnant or hanging) judged by even liberal papers showed Bush to be the winner. Of course it is at this time that the libs go way over the rainbow by citing some tri-lateral commission theory of how the media is controlled by conservatives and bend the results. Gee, one wouldn't see that from the stories being posited by the liberal media, would one?

But of course, the liberals simply will pander and distort simply to get whatever theory across to gain power.

It was the liberals who attempted the coup, and they failed. They failed to circumvent the Law of the Land (the Constitution, not Michael Moore's screeds)and they continue to whine. Simply disgraceful.

John Kerry Delenda Est!
