Kerry/Edwards Playing Games with Intelligence

From the TIB Network:
Here is the latest from the Hair Team:
Kerry Deputy Press Secretary for National Security Mark Kitchens made the following statement today in response to the Senate Intelligence Committee report on the U.S. Intelligence Community's Prewar Intelligence Assessments on Iraq.

"Nothing in this report absolves the White House of its responsibility for mishandling of the country's intelligence. The fact is that when it comes to national security, the buck stops at the White House, not anywhere else. It's disturbing that the White House continues to lay blame for intelligence failures solely at the steps of the intelligence community, yet takes no responsibility for its own failings. They tell us that reforms need to be made in the intelligence community yet they have done little to make any real changes.

"The Bush administration's intelligence budget request for next year contains less than one third of the additional counter-terrorism funding that our intelligence agencies say they need to fight and win the war on terror. The Administration has gravely neglected the intelligence reforms vital to national security -- ignoring even the recommendations of the President's own internal review led by General Scowcroft.

"Americans deserve answers, not politics."

Matt's Chat

Americans do deserve answers, not politics... When is the Democratic Party and Kerry/Edwards going to stop politicizing intelligence?

Mishandling intelligence? That's rich... First the Democrats complain that the President did nothing with spotty intelligence (9/11) and then they continue to harass the President for doing something with intelligence that was flawed (Iraq's WMD). You kids can't have it both ways. America is not going to tolerate that kind of lunacy nuance.

For the record, here is the Presidents policy on National Security and here is a Fact Sheet on Strengthening Intelligence.

This is the same old crap from the Party of Lovetm and their Disciples of Doomtm!

Mark's Remarks

To use a phrase used by the Kerry/Edwards folks: Nothing in this report absolves (here is the switch)Senators Kerry, Edwards, Clinton, Kennedy, and others who saw the SAME INTELLIGENCE and who made similar conclusions that Saddam was a threat. Now, if that statement would have been made as well as the condemnation of the White House, I would have listened. However, this is all about politicizing intelligence, not fixing problems, so let's continue. These folks had the same intel and came to the same conclusions. You see, that whole advise and consent thing, that whole oversight thing. In this case, both parties got simliar info and came to the same conclusions. If Teddy or the two Johnnies or Shrillary had any doubts, they did not air them. Therefore, they are just as 'culpable' as any White House for their silence, especially if they are now saying they knew all along Saddam was not a threat. Doesn't that make them hypocrites, or cowards, or something? Just a thought.

John Kerry Delinda Est!
