By Matt Hurley for the TIB Network:
From Yahoo News:The United States is calling for the immediate withdrawal of Syrian forces from Lebanon, according to a a draft resolution circulated in the U.N. Security Council late Tuesday.
The new measure also offers support for elections under the current Lebanese constitution, which would rule out a second term for pro-Syrian President Emile Lahoud.
The United States decided to press for a resolution — with the support of France, Lebanon's former colonial ruler — after what many saw as a Syrian-engineered move to change the constitution to extend Lahoud's term.

France is on board. We can do this, right liberals? You know, this looks suspiciously like we're trying to spread democracy through the Middle East. I don't believe it, this administration is doing what they said they wanted to do. They can't do that; I demand an investigation!

What? You mean we are trying to set up stable governments based on principles of equality and justice? What? Don't you know that it will never work...Of course, that is what the liberals said about Reagan's tactics, and we KNOW they worked, as we no longer live in fear of Soviet hegemony....
I am shocked that anyone who claims to want prosperity for all downtrodden will not get behind this effort to expand democracy. It has been proven time and again that democracy and freedom results in economic and social prosperity. Or don't liberals want EVERYONE to be free? Interesting question, isn't it?
