No, no, no...state legislatures shouldn't get to dictate how federal money is spent. Regardless of what the National Conference of State Legislatures (registration required) wants, it is the federal governments right to spend our tax money how they see fit. And our education system is in dire need of being fixed, the states haven't had much success, now it's the federal government's turn. Yeah, that sucks, but the states apparently couldn't get the job done. I really wish they had...In case you're too lazy or just don't want to register to read the WaPo piece, it's about No Child Left Behind...again...
