Papal Purpose

I am a firm believer that as evil is presented God also gives us the tools to fight that evil. Some choose to accept it, some do not. These tools come in the form of men and women usually. As the world was in chaos due to the rise of communism and in the religious persecution of the Jews this man was brought here to aid in dealing with these crisises. The 80s brought what we are now finding out only the tip of the iceberg in evil from radical religious fronts and the divisevness that being a world that with the use of technology is no longer isolated, but is now a whole with many sections. By visiting the Holy Land the Pope attempted to break down traditional anti-semitism from this large political and religious body known as the Catholic Church. This is very important to future ties with the Holy Land. Communism is evil and is now all but dead as a realistic political power. With Reagan and Thatcher he helped break the hold of this evil in Eastern Europe and allow people to be free. His political significance is very large in the changing times of the latter 20th century. Many heads of states visited him, getting cousel we may never know about. What is unique is most were not Catholic but still valued him as a political and moral leader. Notice they visited him, not he visiting them, even though he was the most traveled of all the Popes. I will leave you with this note. In the wake of all the misuse of dying in the last couple weeks, the check of people's views on death and human dignity, and the absolute semming disregard for human life, is it not funny how at the very end of that this man is allowed to suffer publicly and die in dignity in front of us, much like another did 2000 years ago, almost as a way of restoring our values in life and death and not letting us smolder in the abyss of hopelessness.
