The Eagle Forum and Gun Owners of America (GOA), two key conservative advocacy groups, have endorsed Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell for the Republican nomination for Governor of Ohio in the 2006 primary. Two key conservative constituencies have lined up behind Blackwell, won't you?
"I am proud to support Ken Blackwell in the race for Ohio Governor," said Eagle Forum Founder and President, Phyllis Schlafly. "Ken represents the pro-family movement on all fronts. His belief in conservative principles such as traditional marriage, the protection of all human life, and lower taxes make him the clear choice to lead Ohio."
"Over the last several years, Ken has emerged as a national leader in the conservative movement," Schlafly continued. "We know he will continue to lead with those principles as Governor."
Gun Owners of America, one of America’s largest pro-gun Second Amendment groups, also endorsed Blackwell as part of their practice of supporting the election of officials with a ‘steadfast commitment to protecting the gun ownership rights of all law-abiding citizens.’
“We urge all gun owners to cast their votes for Ken Blackwell in Ohio’s 2006 Republican gubernatorial primary,” said Larry Pratt, Executive Director of the organization, in recognition of Ken’s commitment to gun ownership rights.
