Two tracks

Political and military...

Military is twofold goal--defend new govt. and also train the new iraqis..As the Iraqis stand up, we will stand down....Iraqi forces at different levels of readiness. Some of totally ready, but not all ready for full participation...

Yet, the libs want to just hand things over and screw the pooch...

The President says we are building them up as best as possible, but of course the libs will say not soon enough so they can stir the miltary parents vote.

NATO is establishing a military academy to train Iraqi military leaders of tomorrow. Laundry list of those conributing to training effort....See, things are being done, but why is it we haven't heard this in the news? Could it be an agenda? Hmmm...

3 new steps for readiness:
1. Joint Coalition/Iraqi operations--give Iraqis first look at greatest military.
2. Embedded transition teams--coalition troops who live and fight with Iraqi forces....provide logistics to Iraqis, and train Iraqis in intel, recon, and urban warfare.
3. Working with Iraqi ministries of defense and interior to help develop command and control structures, so Iraqs new leaders can manage their forces.

Iraqis proving courage each day. 2000 have been killed so far. Thousands stepping forward.

Hmm..sounds like we are building infrastructure...but still this is not enough for John Kerry and the ilk of the Left (did you know he served in Nam?)
