Blogger Jason Smith of Generation Why points out this Stephen Hayes piece about Hayes' efforts to get declassified documents from the database (known as HARMONY) of information seized in Iraq.
The more interesting story is what these documents may actually prove: that Iraq had WMDs.
Well, I think we can safely say that Saddam definately had WMDs at some point, but nobody seems to know where they are now. And that is really the biggest story that somebody ought to be looking in to. Is there evidence in these documents that might shed some light on the subject? That's what we need to find out.
However, I continue to expect that we will never get the full truth on this subject until the historians get involved...
