(AP) A judge has ruled that the Archdiocese of Portland, not its parishes, owns church assets, dealing a major blow its efforts to protect itself from sex-abuse lawsuits.Awwww...that's too bad... Once again, the Church has tried to manuever itself away from its responsibilities. Recommendtion for my fellow Catholics: cease donating to the Church directly...support local charities instead.
